This energy is absorbed by pigmented skin lesions such as freckles, age spots, etc. The laser will shatter the melanin pigment into microparticles. These microparticles are naturally carried away by the bloodstream and eventually removed from the body. The skin pigmentation is then lightened after a few sessions
The number of treatments varies among patients. Depending on the types of pigmented vascular lesions, this procedure usually takes from 3 to 6 treatments. The pigmentation continues to fade in between each treatment.
