WHAT TO EXPECT:
During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, intense cold and slight tingling in the treatment area. These sensations subside within 10 minutes as the area starts to become numb.
Following the procedure, typical side effects include redness, numbness, tenderness and sensitivity. All of these after-effects should subside within a few days, however numbness might take longer to disappear. You will be ready to return to your daily schedule and lifestyle right after treatment.
The exact number of sessions varies from patient to patient. In general, 1 to 3 sessions per area is recommended, at 1 month intervals. One session can permanently reduce one pocket of fat by as much as 30 per cent.
The treatment is well tolerated by most patients although some may find the cold temperature slightly uncomfortable. This normally occurs at the beginning of the treatment and goes away after a few minutes.
